6 days trek through Toubkal highest pick in the atlas mountain. Toubkal is only a few kilometers from the beautiful city of Marrakech.  Day 1: Marrakech - Id Aissa village
Pick from your accomodation in Marrakech to High Atlas, passing through the small town of Tahnaout and then Asni. We'll have a superb view of the range and the summit of Toubkal, Morocco's highest peak. Once we reach Imi Oughlad, we'll meet our Berber muleteer. We then begin our hike through the village of Imi Oughlad. A beautiful climb awaits us to the Tacht pass at 2000 m. We'll have a panoramic view over the Azaden valley. After lunch, it's an easy descent to the village of Ait Aissa at 1800 m. Overnight in a local gite.

Day 2: Ait Aissa - Tkent village

We start our day's walk with a descent to Azaden valley. Then we have a beautiful climb to the Teouti pass at 2420 m altitude. We climb in the shade of walnut and juniper trees to reach the pass.  We'll then descend to Assaka, where we'll have lunch under a walnut tree. Then it's an hour-and-a-half's walk up and down to the Tizgui village of Tkent. Overnight in a local gite.

Day 3: Tkent village 2100 m - Tagdalt pass 2700 m - Azib Tamsoult 2250m

We leave the village of Tkent and its beautiful stone and adobe houses. We meet Berber villagers working the land in the early morning. Gradual ascent to the Tagdalt pass. Beautiful views over the valley and peaks above 3000 m. Then a long descent through a forest of thurifer juniper. Lunch in the shade by the river before Tizi Oussem, then a short climb to the Tamsoult sheepfold. Overnight in the Tamsoult refuge.

Day 4: Azib Tamsoult 3560M Toubkal refuge 3200

After breakfast, we leave Tamsount sheepfold and set off along the river, passing a beautiful waterfall of the same name. During our first break, we'll have a chance to admire the Azaden valley and its contrasting colors. We continue on to the Agulzim pass, where we'll enjoy a fine view of the Toubkal summit and other peaks over 3000 m high. Then we'll reach  Toubkal refuge at 3200m.  (4 hours ascent and 2 hours descent).

Day 5: Toubkal 3200 ascent refuge

We sart early morning to avoid any risk of bad weather. A 3.5-hour climb to the summit of Toubkal 4165m, which presents no technical difficulties. As soon as we reach the summit of Toubkal, we'll find ourselves "on the roof of North Africa", gazing out over distant plains and enjoying breathtaking views of the peaks of the neighbouring massifs, which also reach an altitude of 4000m. The descent takes 2 hours. We'll have lunch at the hut and then descend 2.5 hours to the refuge, where we'll spend our second night.

Day 6: Toubkal Imlil refuge Return to Marrakech.

After breakfast, we make our way down to the Imlil valley, passing through Sidi Chamharouch. A hearty lunch awaits us in Imlil under walnut trees, prepared by our cook, before a short transfer to Marrakech via Asni and Tahnaout, a 1.5-hour drive and a 5-hour walk.
